Valdine Ritchie holds a Masters in Cello Performance from Rice University, a Bachelor in Cello Performance from McGill University, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts at Rice University as a student of Lynn Harrell. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, Valdine started her cello studies in the Suzuki Method at age 3 and a half, and Suzuki Piano Method at age 4. She is now an active teacher and performer in the Houston area.
