

Danette Warren Schuh maintains a private violin and
viola studio, teaches and adjudicates at local workshops and,
festivals and is also the outgoing President of the Houston Area
Suzuki Strings Association and an active member of the Houston
Music Teachers Association. She was the recipient of the HMTA
President's "Bravo" award and was named HMTA 2001 Teacher
of the Year. An honors graduate of Indiana University, where she
studied with Tadeusz Wronski and Josef Gingold, she has been teaching
for over 22 years. She has studied pedagogy with Dorothy Fahlman
and Mimi Zweig, and Suzuki Teacher Training with Judy Offman and
Geri Arnold, and Suzuki Early Childhood Education with Dorothy
Jones. Mrs. Schuh is the Director of Sunrise Chamber Ensembles,
providing the finest chamber music for events in the greater Houston
area. She is a member of the Möbius Chamber Ensemble, performs
as a freelance violinist and violist and is the first violinist
of the Sunrise String Quartet.
She and her husband, Todd, reside in Sugar Land, Texas.
